Contact The INSARAG Regional Group for Africa and Europe held its third meeting, and the Steering Group its fifth meeting, hosted by the Government of Germany and under the auspices of the United Nations Department for Humanitarian Affairs (DHA), on 27 – 30 April 1997 at the Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) Federal Training Centre, Neuhausen, Germany. Participants represented twenty-two countries, the United Nations system, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and non-governmental organizations, involved in disaster response both as assisting and receiving countries.
The second meeting of the Regional Group for Africa/Europe sponsored by the United Nations Department of Humanitarian Affairs and hosted by the Government of Finland, was held from 9 – 12 June 1994, at the Emergency Services College, Kuopio, Finland.

70 participants from 21 countries and organizations (will be finalized later) working on urban search and rescue (USAR) gathered for the annual International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) Asia-Pacific (A-P) Regional Meeting in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on 20 October, 2015.
The meeting was hosted by The Ministry of Interior of the Government of the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand (NZ) the Regional Chair 2015, and co-organised by OCHA in its capacity as the INSARAG Secretariat that is located in the Field Coordination Support Section (FCSS) in the Emergency Services Branch (ESB) of OCHA Geneva.

The annual meeting of INSARAG Asia-Pacific Regional Group was held in Kobe, Japan on 14 September 2010 in conjunction with the first INSARAG Global Meeting. The meeting was organised by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, as well as OCHA in its capacity as the INSARAG Secretariat. The meeting was attended by 50 participants from 22 countries and 1 regional organisation.
