We did it again.

7-31 January 2025, EUMODEX exercise Portugal. More than 1200 people involved, national and international. A combined exercise for Emergency Medical Teams and Urban Search and Rescue Teams. For the Dutch Urban Search and Rescue team USAR.NL, it was also a reclassification. We passed this exam, and we meet the INSARAG requirements of the United Nations. In this exercise, we were classified as a Heavy USARAG Team  according to the INSARAG guidelines. In rain and storms, we were able to practice very realistic scenarios in practice and show what we are capable of. Another experience, richer and luckily a Portuguese winter sun when dismantling the camp.

Our Thanks goes to the Exercise Control Team als well as to the excellent and professional Classifier team

Implementing a flexible approach in facing modern humanitarian crises, as discussed during the INSARAG 2020 Steering Group meeting, would enable the network to continue providing high quality assistance in emergency preparedness and response, to the people we serve.
