REGIONAL GROUP MEETING 2011- TUNISIA

The Africa/Europe/Middle East Regional Group Meeting took place in Tunisia from 25-26 October 2011. The meeting was hosted by the Government of Sweden, Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, the INSARAG Africa/Europe/Middle East Regional Group Chair and was supported by the INSARAG Africa/Europe/Middle East Regional Antenna in Tunisia and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA Geneva), the INSARAG Secretariat. The meeting was attended by 86 participants from 34 countries and 12 organizations. The Chairman Summary of this meeting is attached.

REGIONAL GROUP MEETING 2010 – JAPAN

The annual meeting of INSARAG Africa/Europe/Middle East Regional Group was held in Kobe, Japan on 14 September 2010 in conjunction with the first INSARAG Global Meeting. The meeting was organised by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, as well as OCHA in its capacity as the INSARAG Secretariat. The meeting was attended by 72 participants from 38 countries and organizations.

The 2009 annual meeting of the INSARAG Regional Group Africa/Europe/Middle East was held in Budapest, Hungary on 01-02 October 2009. The meeting was hosted by the Government of Hungary (the National Directorate General for Disaster Management of Ministry of Interior).

REGIONAL GROUP MEETING 2007 – TUNISIA

The meeting of the INSARAG Regional Group Africa/Europe/Midle-East was held in Tunis, Tunisia on 21/22 November 2007. The meeting was hosted by the Tunisian Government and co-organised by the Tunisian Civil Protection and the German THW. The meeting was chaired by Gen. Moncef Belkhir, Director General of the Tunisian Civil Protection. 80 participants form 39 countries and organisations attended the meeting.

REGIONAL GROUP MEETING 2004 – TUNISIA

The meeting of the Regional Group Africa/Europe was organised and hosted by the Government of Tunisia on 28 and 29 April 2004 in Hammamet, Tunisia. 95 participants from 34 countries and organisations as well as 10 observers from the Americas and Asia/Pacific INSARAG Regional Groups participated in the meeting.
