The meeting of the Regional Group Africa/Europe was organised and hosted by the Government of Tunisia on 28 and 29 April 2004 in Hammamet, Tunisia. 95 participants from 34 countries and organisations as well as 10 observers from the Americas and Asia/Pacific INSARAG Regional Groups participated in the meeting.

The meeting of the Regional Group Africa/Europe was organised and hosted by the Government of the Netherlands on 16 and 17 April 2003 at The Hague. 38 participants from 22 countries and organisations as well as 6 observers from the Americas and Asia/Pacific INSARAG Regional Groups participated in the meeting.

The annual meeting of INSARAG Africa/Europe Regional Group was held in Revinge, Sweden from 23 to 24 April 2002. The  meeting was attended by 72 participants from 38 countries and organizations. 34 delegates from 18 countries and organizations participated in the meeting.

The fifth meeting of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) Regional Group Africa/Europe was organized by the Tunisian Civil Protection in Hammamet, Tunisia, from 16 to 19 November 2000 and funded by the Swiss Government. The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), in its capacity as INSARAG Secretariat, co-organized the meeting.

The fourth meeting of the regional group Africa/Europe of the international search and rescue advisory group, which was held from  4th  – 7th  October 1998 in Częstochowa, Poland, was organised by the Polish Government and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

1998 INSARAG Africa Europe Meeting Case Study Floods in Eastern Europe (English)

The INSARAG Regional Group for Africa and Europe held its third meeting, and the Steering Group its fifth meeting, hosted by the Government of Germany and under the auspices of the United Nations Department for Humanitarian Affairs (DHA), on 27 – 30 April 1997 at the Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) Federal Training Centre, Neuhausen, Germany. Participants represented twenty-two countries, the United Nations system, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and non-governmental organizations, involved in disaster response both as assisting and receiving countries. 

1997 INSARAG Africa Europe Meeting Report (English)

The second meeting of the Regional Group for Africa/Europe sponsored by the United Nations Department of Humanitarian Affairs and hosted by the Government of Finland, was held from 9 – 12 June 1994, at the Emergency Services College, Kuopio, Finland.
