Urban Search and Rescue Coordination Course in Volterra, Italy

The Coordination Course is underway, with a focus on enhancing the coordination skills of international USAR teams in sudden onset disasters. Hosted by the Italian Civil Protection Department (ICPD) and funded by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), the course includes a mixture of theoretical seminars and practical outdoor exercises. The course takes place from 14-18 October. Secretariat Representative Stefania Trassari is currently in Italy, to support the exercise delivering sessions related to the humanitarian overview, the role of UNDAC in USAR Coordination and OSOCC.
